In the consulship of Gaius Bellicus Natalis Tebanianus and Gaius Ducenius Proculus, fourteen days before the Kalends of June, in the grove of Dea Dia, when Gaius Iulius Silanus was master, with Gaius Nonius Bassus Salvius Liberalis taking charge, the Arval Brothers offered sacrifice to Dea Dia. Gaius Salvius Liberalis, who was serving as master in place of Gaius Iulius Silanus, in front of the grove sacrificed onto the altar two pigs to atone for the grove, which had been polluted and for the work that had to be done there; then he sacrificed a cow in honor of Dea Dia. Gaius Salvius Liberalis Nonius Bassus, Lucius Maecius Postumus, Aulus Iulius Quadratus, Publius Sallustius Blaesus, Quintus Tillius Sassius sat down in the tetrastylum3 and feasted off the sacrifices, and once they had put on their togae praetextae4 and wreaths made of ears of corn with woolen bands, they climbed up the grove of Dea Dia to a spot lying out of the way, and through Salvius Liberalis Nonius Bassus, who was serving as master, and Quintus Tillius Sassius, who was serving in place of the flamen, they sacrificed to Dea Dia a choice lamb, and once the sacrifice was complete, they all made an offering of incense and wine.
